Ok, here is what this is saying to me.

Trust. Ehwaz. The Horse in it's magnificence, it's beauty. The Sun is out and shining on you! It is a relief to know the Sun does come out after a very dark night. (could be of the soul, or after a rough time of any kind for that matter) Whether you are asking about a new role, career opportunity, relationship, child or project, know that this is being blessed by God and your Angels.

We can welcome the Sun and all its life force energy that it shines down upon us. Spirit and the Angels are here too saying Holy Love is always available to you and with it comes Opportunity and Change.

When you take the path of Trust, Faith, Surrender, Acceptance of what is and what will be, Forgiveness, for yourself and others, Healing and Love, pure Unconditional Holy Love, those Streams of Grace, are always available to you.

This 8 of Swords is the contrast that is needed to show you the otherside of feeling open or being closed off it. This oppressive vibe of being told or made to feel like this is not the way things are or could be.

Where did this thinking come from that things have to be tough, hard, you must suffer, work yourself to the bone? That your life has to look a certain way, that you must try and impress, compare yourself to others, pretend that everything is OK when deep down it all doesn't feel right for you?

Why must you hold up that facade of happiness, of being content for the way things are when a different way, or perspective can release you from the loosely bound ties that hold you to a way of living that may not be to your fullest potential.

There is a block. A resistance to change.

Ehwaz represents a Horse. This Rune symbolizes transportation, movement, progress, trust and change. (interesting side note here, but relevant to this reading..must be because of the Rune Card I was drawn to pulling)

I was shown this sort of vision. Brought back in time. So just think to how important a Horse was to your Ancestors or people back throughout history, especially in the time of the Viking Age. It would have been a different World for you if you didn't have a Horse, or a boat even, the means for transportation. That would have meant that you might have ended up in the role of slave or servant...let's just say your rights or choices were extremely limited. You would have had a Ruler, a fierce and ruthless one probably, that you were taught was the one and only King, who had a direct line to your Gods and Goddess's that you worshipped. He was the guy that made the Laws, he even might have had the final say if you would have gotten into Valhalla or not and you were bound to him for your survival. You did what you were told or else...well you get the picture, where I'm going with this..in those kinds of situations all you had was your faith.

People back then clung to it because indeed the times were hard and you had no access to anything different based on your family's status, education or lack of it, economic status, if you were the chosen one based on legend or folklore, etc. etc.

Times have changed (fortunately) but for some, still in some ways, have also stayed the same.

The World can seem like a cruel and unpleasant place sometimes but like this reading is pointing to is to Grab onto what you do have, what you can control and be Grateful for it and know that whatever it is, the Sun will always shine again. This too shall pass. This is happening for your Highest Good and the Highest Good of All.

This reading is saying you have the support and guidance from your loved ones, your Ancestors, here and in Spirit, and you always have access to that Holy Love from the Universe, the Divine, the All that Is.

With that knowing, that deep inner knowing, it will bring the Opportunity and Change that you are needing and seeking at this time.
